First Lines: Haven was back. She glanced across the familiar little room. Silver clouds hovered over the skylight high above a rumpled bed.
Synopsis
Ever since Haven Moore can remember, she's experienced visions of a previous life as a girl named Constance, whose love for her soulmate Ethan ended in tragedy.
And then the sight of the world's hottest movie star, Iain Morrow, brings Haven to her knees. She knows she has met him before. Is Iain her beloved Ethan?
Unable to deny her past any longer, seventeen-year-old Haven flees to New York to find him - and an epic love affair begins. But it is both deeply fated and terribly dangerous. Can Haven unlock the deadly secrets hidden in her past lives - and loves- before all is lost and Ethan disappears again . . . forever?
My Thoughts
I'll be honest here, I wasn't really captivated by this book until page 8 and I'll even include the sentence from the book that got me hooked.
"You weren't there, Mae. You didn't hear what she said. It's starting all over again."
I don't even know what it was about that line but as soon as I read that I was hooked line and sinker.
The characters in this were extremely likable. Beau and Leah seem to stand out the most for me. If you've read this you will know why. Beau has got this very artistic flair and Leah hasthat mysterious vibe about her and I wanted to learn more about them.
Overall this is a great love story with a little twist of danger. One I think most YA readers would enjoy.
I've heard of people who love this, and I hear of people who don't...I'm so on the fence about this one! haha either way, great review! :)
