Synopsis:
The unscrupulous new Council chair has charged Jace, Marc and me with trespassing, kidnapping, murder and treason. Yeah, we've been busy. But now it's time to take justice into our own hands. We must avenge my brother's death and carve out the rot at the heart of the Council.
It's not going to be easy, and loss seems unavoidable, but I have promised to protect my Pride, no matter what. With a target on my back and Marc at my side, I'm heading for a final showdown that can—that will—change everything forever. A showdown I'm not sure I'm ready for.
But life never waits until you're ready.
My Thoughts:
Wow, where to start? I have probably mentioned this before, but Stray the first book in the Shifters series was the very first Fantasy book I'd ever read. It was actually in the wrong isle funny enough. So when I picked it up and read the back I thought, well I guess I will try this one. LOTS of paranormal books later, and to this day I think I prefer the paranormal books over the normal ones. Thanks Rachel.
Alpha does not disappoint. Simple as that. For the very last book in the series I was quite impressed how much was squeezed into it's 472 pages. I laughed, cried and sat at the edge of my seat gripping this book and practically devouring it right to the end!
The ongoing love triangle between Jace, Faythe and Marc hits the absolute peak in this book, making the choice Faythe has to make exceptionaly hard. Add to that the rivalry between prides, Ethan and Michael's girlfriends thrown into the mix, and Faythe, with her toughest challenge yet.
That's all I'll say on this, as I just know I'm going to say something that may spoil it for someone else!
Best Urban Fantasy series of all time. If you haven't read this yet, go pick up Stray the first book and see if this one is for you!
