Synopsis:
What's a girl to do when meeting The One means she's cursed to die a horrible death?
Life hasn't been easy on sixteen-year-old Emma Conner, so a new start in New York may be just the change she needs. But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? Not so much. Friendly faces are few and far between, except for one that she's irresistibly drawn to—Brendan Salinger, the guy with the rock-star good looks and the richest kid in school, who might just be her very own white knight.
But even when Brendan inexplicably turns cold, Emma can't stop staring. Ever since she laid eyes on him, strange things have been happening. Streetlamps go out wherever she walks, and Emma's been having the oddest dreams: visions of herself in past lives—visions that warn her to stay away from Brendan. Or else.

My Thoughts:
After seeing so many other blogs featuring Spellbound I finally jumped onto NetGalley and requested it!  If so many book bloggers wanted to read it then it must be good, right?

Alot seems to happen in the first fifteen or so pages.  Emma moves in with her Aunt, she starts a new school and already makes an impression on the popular girl.  So first day seemed to be going well right.  Then enters Brendan.  From description alone I could imagine how spunky this character would be but the amazing thing is how hot and cold towards Emma he is.  I'll admit right now it was frustrating.  It's explained later on why, but at the beginning you can't help but think he was either just being nice or stringing her along which is like OUCH! lol

Out of all the characters I absolutely loved Angelique. She seems to be this book's version of Eve (from Morganville Vamps) but add in the witchery.  She was a great character and one that I would have loved to read a bit more about, but since this story is inherently about Emma and Brendan, fingers crossed there is another with Angelique ;)  Please? lol

Spellbound was a fantastic and captivating read.  Albeit maybe a few frustrating spots at the beginning I was hooked in regardless and wanted more!

This book is for those who love their HEA'S!
